The NEW Kombat boots were designed by Danny Fairbrass himself to replicate the high-quality hiking boots he wore for fishing. However, they added a few extra features to make them perfect for anglers, and they didn't come with the hefty price tag of other hiking boots of the time.

During development, the focus was on functionality and design. They have water-repellent properties, which is important when walking through wet grass or standing in shallow water.

The soles offer the best self-adhesive grip on many different surfaces you may encounter while fishing.

Kombat boots are also ideal for long-distance walking as they support the ankle without being stiff.

Many hiking boots are difficult to put on and take off, but Kombat boots are specifically designed for anglers and can be opened wide, so they can be put on quickly if you get bitten in the middle of the night.

Another problem with some hiking boots is that the laces come loose again and again, meaning you have to wear them over and over again to avoid getting wet and dirtying the laces.

The Kombat boots have a flat lace design to ensure this doesn't happen and sit securely.

Danny Fairbrass explains: "They're modeled after a high-fashion hiking shoe I bought in Italy a few years ago for a lot more money than this one.

The upper is leather and they have a waterproof membrane so you can stay in the water if you want.

People always ask if they are warm - no, they are not warm because they are not meant to be, because they are supposed to be waterproof and provide good grip, but if you wear them in combination with our waterproof socks or merino socks, your feet stay warm in them.
