The Super Wide Gape Long Shank was developed with the intention of creating the most modern and advanced carp hook, combining key elements from the highest performing models for use with today's most popular rigs.
We started with a long shank hook, renowned for its sure-grip properties, to this we added a slight but wide bend along the shank, finished with an inward-facing eye, and this ensures the hook rotates in an instant once inside the carp's mouth, positioning itself for the perfect hook set.
A wide profile was also needed, to give the point a better grip in the fish's mouth. Finally, a super-sharp beaked point ensured that once set, the hook would stay in place and significantly reduce the chances of it being pulled. Never before had all these elements been combined in a single carp hook, and the result was devastating!
These hooks are perfectly suited to Ronnie/Spinner style rig presentations along with all types of bottom and pop-up presentations.
