Korda Basix Weigh Sling

BASIX WEIGH SLING is a weighing bag, ideal for weighing and releasing fish.

The BASIX Weigh Sling (along with the Basix Cradle) is perfect for youngsters; beginners, those on a budget, occasional anglers, and anyone who simply doesn't want to spend a lot of money to ensure they're always weighing their fish safely.

NOTE: Basix Weigh Sling MUST NOT be used as a weight-bearing bag.

It's a traditional weigh bag, but with some added features, designed to allow you to safely transfer fish from the water to the mat and back again, and weigh them. It's not for holding and cannot be safely used for that purpose. This bag is made from a durable nylon material and is long and deep enough to weigh any carp you might catch in the UK and many other locations.

It features sturdy yet lightweight two-piece powder-coated metal bars at the top, to provide rigidity and help make the weighing process safer for the fish.

When not in use these bars can be easily folded in half as they are elasticated and you can store the harness in the storage bag that comes with it (the folded length allows it to fit inside the Basix Cradle or inside an external pocket of a Compac rod holder).

A sturdy strap is attached to the bars on each side and provides good balance once attached to the scale hook, allowing you to weigh your fish safely.

It features several large drainage holes on the bottom, so once the fish is transferred to the shore, the rolled-up landing net drains quickly when the fish is brought to the mat. A good-quality, free-sliding zipper at each end of the harness ensures the fish won't slip out during transport and weighing.

The harness is designed to float, allowing for easy transfer of the fish and rolled landing net into the water - this ensures there is no need to lift the landing net, thus reducing the risk of splitting or damaging the fins and tail.
