Description

Since appearing in the Korda Underwater series filmed at Norton Disney, the buzz around these Shot on the Hook weights has been immense and there has been a strong resurgence in the use of this rig since the film's release.

The Shot on the Hook improves the hooking potential of any wafter, sinker or snowman presentation by essentially creating a heavier point that allows the hook to turn, ensuring a quick and efficient hold and turning more bites into hooks.

These weights are made from pure tungsten, which offers an exceptional density-to-volume ratio.
This high density pure tungsten allowed us to achieve considerable weight using a minimum of material, creating a compact yet appropriately calibrated Shot on the Hook.

This reusable pure tungsten lead can be used over and over again.
It features a small rubber mold that fits over the point of the hook to hold it in place.
When it's time to change hooks, simply slide them off if using barbless hooks, or, if using barbed hooks, crush the barb first before removing it.

Danny Fairbrass: "Nothing in recent years has made more of a difference to my catch rate with bottom lures.
I wanted to rush, but Damian and the product team voted for me to create something “special”.
I'm very pleased to have been passed over on this occasion, because the end result is a product that is easy to use and reuse, suitable for any type of bottom or balanced bait, from plastic corn on a size 8 hook to a 24mm boilie on a size 2 hook."
The Shot on the Hook is available in three sizes: 0.30g, 0.40g and 0.50g, supplied in a handy sliding lid compartment to keep them safe in your tackle box, with 10 weights per pack.

How to choose the right size Shot On The Hook? The lighter the bait, the less force the carp will use to suck it in.
For this reason I recommend the small 0.3 g version for hook sizes 8, 6 and 4 with sinking and balanced lures up to 14/15 mm.

For slightly larger lures, around 18-20mm and with size 4 hooks, my choice falls on the 0.4g Shot On The Hook.
Instead, for large 24-30 mm baits with size 2 hooks, I recommend the 0.5 g version.”
