The Wide Gape B hook is based on the classic Kinryu Maruta spade pattern—a very popular hook shape. The point is slightly recessed to quickly create a secure hook every time. This, combined with an ultra-sharp point, forms a formidable hook pattern. The eye is angled 15 degrees inward to allow the hook to rotate very quickly, and the addition of heat-shrink tubing makes everything even more effective. This is an undisputed model for modern fishing. This hook has many big fish to its name, notably the largest fish caught in England by the one and only Darrell Peck, called "Two Tone."
Darrel swears by using this pattern with a wide range of presentations, whether boilies or particles.
