For a number of years, many very skilled anglers have used Belachan with devastating results and not all have been astute enough to pinpoint one of the main reasons for their success.
Belachan, the Asian name for a specific type of fermented shrimp paste, is a salty block whose smell is used to create deep flavors in Malaysian cuisine... and carp are practically addicted to it!
It comes in a solid block form and can be crumbled into any boilie mix. It's an exceptional attractor when used with pellets or particles, in boilies, method, spod, or stick mixes. To use this product, we recommend grating the block with a fine cheese grater and it's recommended to use up to 75g/kg of dry mix.
In boilie mixes, best results are achieved by adding grated Belachan to liquid egg and then leaving for 10-15 minutes before mixing with the dry mix.
