Along with the majority of carp anglers around the world, we believe that hook sharpness is the most important part of the setup! That's precisely why we've spent years developing and pushing the boundaries of our hook technology. The result is Kamakura hooks—hooks sharpened as accurately as possible, post-production, and with the utmost precision.
Kamakura hooks are sharpened post-production with zero tolerance. We make hooks you can't even make by hand. When you open the package, you'll also notice two things. The first is the quality of the product. Every single hook sold has the same sharpness and is ready to use. Quality is key; we pride ourselves on ensuring every hook is identical to the others.
The second is a waxy coating on the sharp point of the hook. This unique coating ensures they stay in the best possible condition until you're ready to use them. Just before casting, simply remove it and you'll be fishing with the sharpest hook imaginable.
The Kamakura range will exist alongside the original Kamakura hooks. In mid-September 2018, we will begin releasing the sharpened Krank and Widegape patterns. They will be available in sizes 4, 6, and 8, both barbless and barbed. The Choddy and Kurv Shank hooks will follow in 2019.
