Zig Line has low stretch, making it a fantastic line for surface fishing, as well as helping to produce strong hook sets on zigs and on the surface.
Its low diameter gives it a breaking strain of just 0.22 mm for the 7-pound version; 0.25 mm for the 9-pound version; and the 11-pound breaking strain is 0.28 mm. Its low diameter makes it harder for fish to see it in midwater or on the surface due to its reduced silhouette, and its camouflage properties are aided by its shaded green color.
Despite these properties it is still a fairly tough thread and has a very high knot strength as long as you are careful, with Palomar and knotless knots being ideal.
