The Korda Big Eye Swivels are swivels with one huge eye and one normal size 8 eye.
Like all our swivels, they come from the best Japanese manufacturers and have our trademark anti-reflective finish.
They have three main uses…
First of all, they're perfect for creating excellent running rigs when used as a replacement for the standard swivels that attach the lead. They were originally designed as part of the Running Rig Kit, but after so many requests, we had to add them to the range.
The second use is for creating helicopter rigs. The large eye will rotate better if a large bead is used: whereas a smaller swivel would bump around the circumference of the larger bead, in this case the large eye will rotate effortlessly around it.
They can also be used at the top of a marker connection: the large eye will allow the line to slide more easily than a standard swivel. You'll undoubtedly find other uses that we haven't listed.
