Korda Dark Matter Rig

A lot of thought has gone into this set-up with our Korda team member Neil Spooner having used it for years, perfecting it and making it his 'take anywhere rig' - a terminal tackle that has allowed him to land carp of all sizes with great effectiveness!

The Wide Gape hook pattern is incredible in terms of its hooking potential but has been improved even further with the addition of a short length of shrink tubing which helps make the hook rotate even more aggressively when in a carp's mouth whilst a small piece of silicone tubing on the shank of the hook ensures the hair rig comes off at the optimum point.

The rig comes with hair stop extenders to accommodate all different sized baits, allowing you to effectively alter the hair length and separation between the bait and the hook simply by using a different type of bait stop.

It's tied with Dark Matter braid, which is heavy and incredibly sinking, hugging the contours of the lake bed. Despite being braided, it can help avoid any possibility of tangles; using a PVA bag or stringer when casting can help.

All hook sizes are barbed while the other end of the rig is connected via a loop, a number 8 swivel: this means it can be adapted to all leaders and can also be used with a Kwik Link or QC swivels.
