The BASIX Wide Gape hook was designed as the perfect all-rounder, suitable for a wide variety of rigs straight from the pack, without the need for many additional components, whether you're fishing with bottom baits, pop-ups, or wafters. The aggressive inward-facing eye helps ensure the hook turns and sets, without the need for additional kickers or shrink tubing.
It is made from our 'X' gauge wire, so is suitable for use both in the UK and abroad due to its strength, and has a discreet black nickel finish.
The point is designed to last a long time and you can catch more fish with the same hook before needing to change it – every time you cast, check that it is still sharp and change it if necessary.
Its shape is based on the original incredibly effective Wide Gape, which has been responsible for catching countless big carp over the years.
BASIX Wide Gape hooks are available in Barbed and Barbless versions in sizes 2, 4, 6 and 8.
Each pack contains ten hooks.
