It is a "braided", a braid made 100% with ultra-resistant Spectra fibres worked with the 'Ultra Body Technology' system, to obtain a round and incredibly smooth section.
Thanks to these characteristics, the PowerPro winds beautifully on the reel (the coils do not get pinched), does not create friction on the rod guides (avoiding damage), allows the execution of perfect knots and comes out impeccably at the moment of casting, allowing for otherwise unthinkable casts.
Its compact structure minimizes water absorption (a factor that nylon monofilaments are also subject to), limits its diameter and brings the elasticity value close to zero, imagine fishing at long distances being able to perceive the slightest vibration of the line with the bite alarms: fantastic!
The Spectra fibres used make the PowerPro extremely tough and resistant to abrasion, you can fish, for example, with a diameter of 0.19mm and have a breaking load of 13Kg!
The advantages are clear: longer casting distances, less friction with the water and therefore reduced 'belly' effect, lightning-fast hooks at long distances (the action of the rod, as some believe, has no effect hundreds of meters from the shore) and constant, direct contact with the prey.
