This is the outward facing eyed version of the Super Wide Gape hook, making it perfect for Chod, Hinged and Fluorocarbon D-rigs.
This hook was born after many long discussions with our consultants and other very experienced anglers.
The idea that keeping the profile as wide as possible when tying a rig will increase the chances of hooking a carp is one many anglers pursue, and for this reason we decided to design a hook with an even wider gape than our hugely popular Wide Gape and Stiff Rig patterns. Introducing the "Super Wide Gape", a hook with a wide, long bend, a super-sharp beaked point, and a wider gape than any other hook we've ever produced.
In testing it has been proven that, even on the simplest of rigs, this hook is an incredibly lethal fish-catching weapon, and it has been put to the test under difficult circumstances with some very large fish!
With such a wide profile, once the fish has sucked in the rig, upon expulsion, the hook point is so exposed that the chances of it catching in the fish's mouth are greatly increased, allowing you to worry less about the mechanics of the rig and concentrate more on choosing the right spot.
