These Dark Matters incorporate our Heli-Safe system and can be used with any helicopter-style setup, whether it's a conventional hook link or a chod rig. This leader has impregnated tungsten collars inside to ensure it stays locked to the bottom. It also incorporates the Chod Safety System, which ensures your hook link can detach from the leader in the event of a break in the main line, and your hook link can be easily connected via a QC swivel.
The DM Heli-Safe Leader is available in a choice of 1 m or 50 cm lengths, giving you enough room to move your top bead well on it, for example when fishing in deeper silt or weed, ensuring your presentation is good when using the longer version. Some venues now have rules limiting the maximum length of your leader, and this is where the 50 cm version could come in handy—it's also great for long-distance fishing as it casts further.
The other end of this leader has a fused loop to which your main line can be tied, or to allow the leader to be easily removed, the loop-to-loop method is best. Dark Matter leader material is highly abrasion resistant, has a breaking strain of 40 lbs, and can be paired with any lake bottom you're fishing, as it's available in Clear, Weed, or Gravel. Each pack contains one leader.
