Crimping is a great way to achieve neat, strong connections, especially when using stiffer and/or thicker materials that can be difficult to tie effectively. It also allows you to always get the right hook link length, which is particularly useful for chod rigs.
Getting it right when crimping something, so it doesn't slip or weaken the material, is always a concern, but this Mini Krimp Tool alleviates the problem as it's specifically designed for use with the three sizes of Krimp we sell – the jaws are marked XS, S, and L to indicate the slot that should be used for each size.
As long as the Krimps are matched to an appropriate diameter of hook connection material, the Mini Krimp Tool will allow you to create the perfect connection every time.
It is made of mild steel with rubberized handles to allow for a good grip and ensure the right amount of pressure is applied to a Krimp, it also features a cutter in the jaws which is useful when building rigs.
The Mini Krimp Tool is very compact, so it fits easily in your tackle box or similar, but still allows you to get enough leverage to form the perfect crimp connection every time.
Please note that the Krimping Small, unlike the Krimp Tool Set, does not come with Spare Krimps, which can be purchased separately in size XS.
