One of the fundamental principles of the spinner rig, as the name suggests, is that the hook is free to spin and take a hold in the carp's mouth.
The more freely it spins, the better chance you have of getting a hook, and that's exactly what the PTFE Spinner Swivel achieves.
This version is the perfect choice for anyone who wants fewer metal parts on their rigs. It makes it less obtrusive by eliminating a metal ring as part of the swivel.
This size 11 swivel is designed specifically for us with this rig and can be used with various hook link materials and, just like our standard version, the hook can be easily added or removed from the 'crook' at the other end, which is then covered with a kicker to keep everything secure.
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) has one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid material, making it perfect for swivel coatings as it reduces friction between the rod and the eye. They are sold in packs of eight.
