One of the fundamental principles of the spinner rig, as the name suggests, is that the hook must be free to rotate to catch the carp's mouth. The greater the freedom of rotation, the better the chances of a successful hook set: this is precisely the advantage offered by the PTFE Spinner Ring Swivel.
This size 11 swivel is designed specifically for this rig and will accommodate a variety of hooklink materials, as the ring eliminates the need for a connecting loop; plus, just like our standard version, the hook can be easily inserted or removed through the moulded eye at the other end, which is then covered with a kicker to keep everything securely in place.
The XX version is specifically designed for use with larger hooks, such as sizes 1 and 2. It features a thicker wire than the original version and should be used in combination with the new XL Kickers, designed to fit perfectly into both the shaped eye and the larger eye of the larger hooks.
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) has one of the lowest coefficients of friction of all solid materials, making it ideal for swivel coatings, reducing friction between the core and the eye.
They are sold in packs of eight; a version without the ring is also available.
