Korda Krimps are metal collars that allow you to connect very short terminals to swivels or anything else easily, precisely and quickly without having to go crazy with making knots, which are made almost impossible by the rigidity of some filaments.
Unlike a knot, the krimp, by not stretching the material used, does not alter the breaking load of the same but rather, maintains it as declared on the packaging.
There are two sizes of Krimp available, size S and size L, which have been designed to accommodate different materials.
Size S is used to crimp materials with a diameter between 0.43 mm and 0.60 mm.
The L size, on the other hand, is used to crimp materials with a diameter between 0.60 mm and 0.70 mm. To close the Krimps correctly, use only the Korda Krimp Tool.
Now also available the 0.5mm XS size to be used for materials between 0.40 and 0.50mm in diameter or more simply for the 15lb boom and 0.45mm diameter
